Puritan Belief

The Puritans are the men of God who started in the 16th century building on the purity of the gospel message that Salvation is by Grace alone.

The doctrine of the Son.

God became flesh.
Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Mighty God and Everlasting Father.

John 4:24 The Holy Spirit who is the Everlasting Father, is said in Luke 1:35 shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you; therefore the holy child which shall be born, shall be called the Son of God.

And you are to give him the name Jesus. Luke 1:31

  • Luke 19:10 Jesus calls Himself the Son of man.
  • Matthew 1:1 He is called the Son of David.
  • Luke 3:23 The Son of Joseph.

Because the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord God the Almighty the creator of everything, John 1:1 it is impossible for Him to be a Son of someone else, another person.

He is the Alpha and Omega the first and the last (Rev. 22:13) who became flesh and dwelt among us in bodily form as the only begotten Son of God, or the only one of a kind. Unlike Adam who also is called son of God, Luke 3:38 yet was not born through the womb of a woman.

Jesus Christ was born through the womb of a virgin, and in that sense He is called the Son of God, and also the Son of man.

John 4:24 God who is Spirit, is called Son by His physical birth, the incarnation in the flesh.
(Vailed the incarnate Deity.)

1 Timothy 3:16 God appeared in a body, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

Jesus Christ who is the true God and Eternal life.1 John 5:20

In all those posts I clearly demonstrated, that the Lord God is one person, and that is the person of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 63:16
You O Lord are our FATHER and REDEEMER.

That verse alone tells us, that Jesus is our FATHER and our redeemer.

The Trinitarians and the Catholics tell you that the redeemer is Jesus and the Father is another person who is God.

But do NOT believe them!
Jesus Christ alone is the Lord God, and every knee and every tongue (even yours) confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of the Father.
And that is NOT to the glory of another person!
It is to the glory of His Spirit who came upon Mary and created for Himself a body, (the Son of God) God in flesh.

Jeremiah 22:5
Jesus swore by Himself, because there was no greater one than Him.

In Matthew 26:39 Jesus does the will of His Spirit, walk by His Spirit, and talk by His Spirit, who is His Father, (Jesus speaking as a Son, or as a man.)

Just like everyone should do! To be lead by your Spirit, to talk by your Spirit and do the work of the Spirit, of course that is if you are born again?

If you are not born again, then you can not do the things of the Spirit, because the Spirit of God is not in you, and you are dead in your sins and trespasses, Eph.2:1 and in desperate need of a new birth.
By that I mean a spiritual birth, any man or woman without a new birth can NOT enter or SEE! John 3:3+5
The new birth can only happen by the Spirit of God and that is the Spirit of Jesus Christ our Lord.

It is Jesus Christ who is God over all. Rom. 9:5

Modern day magi;
A question to you!

Isaiah 63:16
You O Lord are our Father and Redeemer.

Who is that? Tell me His name?
